I'm Jorge, a graduate of Rollins College with a bachelor's in international relations. I am certified as a teacher in Spanish, language arts, and social sciences. I tutor students in these subjects, as well as politics, geography, and history. My best language arts topics are composition, analysis, and reading comprehension. I am a native Spanish speaker and have five years of teaching experience. I prefer teaching students on a one-on-one basis because I believe it is the most beneficial form of education. I can provide the support and resources for my students to succeed in their individual academic and personal goals. If my tutee wants to improve their conversational Spanish for an upcoming trip or they need to prepare for an upcoming history exam, I can adjust their learning plan to put them on the right path. I create a learning environment that allows my students to set their learning pace. I can prepare my students for standardized exams in these subjects, whether they need to improve their test-taking strategies or review material before test day. In addition, I can help students edit their college admissions and course essays. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and reading.
