Experience
I tutored throughout high school as a member of the National Honor Society. I also worked as a tutor in the University of Maryland Writing Center for one year and have recently tutored privately for students taking high school level math. Prior to becoming a tutor for the Writing Center, I took a class on writing pedagogy to learn best practices for teaching writing techniques to others. I truly enjoy tutoring because I have the opportunity to connect with other students individually and help them achieve in an area that they had been struggling in. It is extremely rewarding as well as enjoyable for me! I am comfortable tutoring in any K-12 subjects including Math, English, Social Studies, and Spanish. I received a composite score of 34 on the ACT and would also be comfortable tutoring students in preparation for the test.

Hobbies
I enjoy travelling, hiking, reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family. My favorite dessert to bake is cheesecake and my favorite travel destination is Positano, Italy! I love reading historical fiction books and biographies. While at the University of Maryland, I have become very involved in my sorority and am currently serving as our Chapter President. It is a difficult and time-consuming job but has taught me a lot about time management, organization, and problem solving.
